6 ways to bring country chic into your home

6 ways to bring country chic into your home

The Wicklewood collection is gathered from all over the world; we work with artisans from Guatemala to India designing pieces which will look picture perfect in every home, from London to Louisiana. A popular style, particularly at this time of year, is country chic - cosy winter days calling for soft colours, pretty prints and delicate details. To celebrate the Daylesford fair, which we’re excited to be part of this year, we’ve rounded up six pieces that will instantly bring a country mood to your home.

1 The wool rug

In soft ivory with a delicate indigo motif, the timeless design of this Berber-style rug will complement any colour palette, while the thick wool pile keeps bare feet cosy.

2 The printed tablecloth

Hand-printed with wood blocks in India, this vibrant blue and white tablecloth is just the thing to lift your tablescape. We love it with classic china plates and a large vase of flowers.

3 The classic vase

A country style home can never have too many vases. Hand thrown and hand painted in a tiny studio in South Africa, our navy and white designs are perfect for armfuls of freshly picked wildflowers.

4 The printed pick

Graphic screen-printed fabrics are a Wicklewood favourite, courtesy of our sister brand, Blithfield. The Linwood is a new addition to our cushion line-up - we think it would be very at home in a country kitchen.

5 The cosy quilt

Our quilts are hand block printed and stitched by our skilled artisan partners in India. Double-sided, they are perfect as an extra bed layer, or looks lovely over a sofa by a roaring fire.

6 The versatile basket

Made with hundreds of teeny tiny pine needles and raffia, our Guatemalan baskets will add a heritage note to your walls, or look wonderful filled with pine cones or dried flowers in the middle of your table.
