Our perfect Valentine’s Day consists of one bunch of fresh flowers, two delicious pizzas (Santa Maria if you’re in London, Southend if you’re in LA) a great bottle of red and a few bowls of gelato. Here are our top-tablescaping-tips to add a bit of pizazz to your table top this weekend.    

The Colour Palette

There's nothing wrong with pink, but add other colours as well, opting for a chicer Valentine's colour palette. Cherry pinks and raspberry reds mixed with contrasting blues or burnt oranges will create a colourful setting that you’ll really remember.

Candles

Nothing says hello romance like a candle-lit dinner. Choose candles that are different sizes, colours and fragrances to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly sets the mood.

Floor seating

For a more relaxed vibe, why not hit the floor, preferably near a cosy, burning fire. Throw in a handful of comfy cushions and a quilt for even more colour and an extra bit of oomph. 

Flowers and Greenery

You can’t beat fresh flowers - they bring any table to life. But we also love adding other natural elements to our tables like pomegranates, artichokes or dried cotton stems. Stay away from centrepieces and scatter them naturally, as if they’re still in the wild and have come straight from your garden.

Napkins

When it comes to napkins, be creative. Tie them in a knot, hang them off the edge of the table or tuck them into a wine glass. A beautifully folded napkin adds depth and elegance to your tablescape.
